ICT Director


Functie

We are currently seeking a Regional IT Director to play a pivotal role in driving, leading, and managing IT delivery across regional IT and Operating Companies (OpCos). The primary focus is to ensure the effective integration of IT to meet business demands. The successful candidate will provide a conceptual framework to bridge the gap between bespoke local organizations and generic regional structures. This crucial position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this capacity, the Regional IT Director will be instrumental in aligning IT strategies with business objectives, fostering seamless collaboration between regional IT teams and OpCos, and overseeing the successful implementation of IT initiatives. The emphasis is on achieving effective integration while accommodating the unique needs of local organizations within the broader regional context. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategy: • Provide a cohesive perspective on how the regional IT strategy can translate into tangible local impact. • Collaborate closely with the business and IT leadership team to identify issues and opportunities that can be effectively addressed through IT in alignment with the regional strategy. Customer: • Drive alignment with the regional IT strategy, translating strategic plans into tactical and operational actions for OpCo's and ensuring effective execution. • Collaborate with the IT leadership team to deliver IT services that meet business needs and effectively manage KPIs. • Act as the IT ambassador to external customers, maintaining a deep understanding of customer needs to deliver solutions and benefits and represent Yusen IT solutions effectively. • Support the creation of business cases, cost estimates, and pre-sales activities for IT solutions. Business Growth and Continuous Improvement: • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance and develop IT and business processes and methodologies. • Support regional acquisition strategies through pre- and post-acquisition phases to optimize IT understanding and utilization. Team Management: • Define, lead, and manage the functional IT team proposition to cultivate motivated and engaged teams. • Set team priorities and manage resources to achieve strategic goals and IT priorities. • Provide effective performance management and development for all team members to maximize individual potential. • Deliver clear and timely communications to ensure team understanding of priorities and successes. • Establish resourcing and succession pipelines to meet business needs. Process and Governance: • Assume IT cost responsibility on behalf of OpCo's. • Sit on the IT leadership team and OpCo leadership team. • Take accountability for identifying and managing cybersecurity risks and implementing mitigation strategies for the region. • Serve as a member of the EU IT risk assessment and cybersecurity board.

QUALIFICATONS: • Degree level or equivalent IT experience. • Strong IT Leadership and Management experience, particularly in Multinational Business and Matrix organizations. • Extensive Logistics Experience and deep Market Awareness. • Proficient in Cybersecurity. • Demonstrated proficiency in IT Management and IT Service Management. • Previous experience in Profit and Loss Management. • Effective Communication, Openness, and Customer Focus. • Reliability, Teamwork, and Accountability. • Proactivity, Continuous Learning, and Problem Solving.
